It is a new, updated course for beginners who are interested in exploring how to write an original screenplay and also for writers who want to expand their expertise to Screenplay Writing.
You can use the skills you learn here for creating stories in any media, but primarily we will focus on how to prepare for and write a Creative Screenplay.
The course will include reading screenplays, writing story
ideas, creating log lines and watching many different film/video
excerpts to see examples of the different tools we are talking about.

This course is very similar to the one I held in April in the Dundas Library. It is a basic level course. You can use the skills you learn here for creating stories in any media, but primarily we will focus on how to prepare for and write a Creative Screenplay.

Description:
This course is a basic level course. We will discover what makes a story a story and how we can use the principles of ancient drama theories in today's screenplays. The course will cover Brainstorming, Basic Elements of a Screenplay, Story Structure, Story-Map, Basic Plots, Story Paradigms, Film Genres, Script Formats. We will also watch a movie together and identify the different Screenplay elements presented in the class.
